Met Camden Toy at Fx International in Orlando - he played one of The Gentlemen in "Hush", Gnarl - "Same Time, Same Place", and also portrayed one of the "UberVamps" from Season 7 - he is a ROYAL HOOTFEST!!!  He would be awesome as a guest - has a lot of stories about being on the set with the actors and just about being on Buffy in general.

how about a book club type panel with the author of a published work, or works, on the whedonverse? a panel such as this could feature a different author every year, plus it would be interesting for those of us who are a little older or who really appreciate, or just really want to discuss, the truly intellectual aspect of whedon's creations.

So strange though that he's never made it to Dragon Con...  He was a FX International in Orlando year before last.  I saw him then but would love to see him again. Surely he can do D*C!!


So - How does all this stuff exactly work?  I would really like to know!

Does each track just submit names to the "Dragon Con Guest List"?  Are the guests paid by D*C? Or does D*C arrange a "package" where guests make their own money through pics, autos, souvenirs, etc.?  Do they get a percentage?  Does D*C?  I'm curious...

We had Nick in 2006 along with Clare Kramer and Andy Hallet.

It's not that complicated of a system.  I draw up a big list of the people that are most requested and send it to my Senior Director.  He then works with Guest Services to see who we can get.  Once we get guests I work with those same Powers that Be and set them up on Q&A panels and then see what panels or programming  we can put on the schedule that correlates.

To answer your other questions, no D*C doesn't pay the guests, they make money from autographs and I'm pretty sure they get a decent chunk from Froggy photos as well. I believe (but I could be wrong) that D*C just gives them a free room for the weekend and a table in the walk of fame, everything else is up to the guest and their handler as far as making money goes.

I guess I missed Nicky by a year.  I didn't "know" about D*C until 2007.  But maybe he will come back this year - Since we had all the girls last year it would be nice to have a panel of guys - James, Luke, *Nicky*, etc.
