The Rules
Sketch by Jo Chen
1. All work you submit must be your own.
Provide us with as much proof as you can to show us that your work is original. If your work is non digital then pictures of the creation process are encouraged. If it is digital then we will ask that your provide us with layer files or the original source files for digital manipulations. Keep in mind that our staff is very familiar with the digital art community as it pertains to Whedon Fandom.
2. All entries must be inspired by Joss Whedon characters, shows, or movies
Pretty self explanatory. No crossover into other fandomc (i.e. Mixing Angel with Smallville)
3. All submissions must be PG-13.
Please, no nudity or slash/fanfic style art. Excessive gore and outright grossness is highly discouraged. Our staff will review all submissions and will deny any that do not meet this criteria.
4. All entries must be submitted to us on or before August 25th.
Photos of non digital media will suffice. Final output of digital art will be accepted. We'd like a few days before con to make sure all contestants are rightly signed up. Late submissions will not be included. Period.
5. We will not print your work for you.
We haven't the time, or the means, to print your submissions. If it's digital, your best bet is to head to kinkos. If you want to frame it, that's spiffy, otherwise we'll be hanging it in the track room however possible. Pretty frames will not influence our judging unless they are part of the work itself.
6. Do not post your submissions to our forums.
The idea is to keep your art secret until the actual contest, so con attendees will get to see the finished products all at the same time. If you post it to the forums or the livejournal, you will be disqualified.
7. The winner will be decided by votes
All art will be displayed in our track room and our track visitors will be able to vote for their favorite submissions. Voting will begin on Friday and will end during the Art Contest Panel. The winner will be announced at that Art Show Panel on Sunday at 7 PM in our track room.
